When I started blogging, I would visit a lot of blogs - comment on posts,ask lot of questions, look for nail art challenges,etc. Dhara was one of those first persons who was patient enough to answer my queries and introduced me to Indian Lacquer group of FB. We never met but love to talk,share, gossip not only about nails but lot of things in our personal life too :)

Birthday roses by Disha from NailtheArt

Hey Friends! It is my birthday today and yes apparently its Google's birthday too :) I've turned 30 today...Gosh I am getting old now!!!On this occasion and my blog completing an year in July, I plan to do guest posts on my blog by my dear friends.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Disha Kulshrestha and it gives me immense pleasure to do a design for blog of my nail art buddy Manisha. We have never met but will definitely meet one day. 

Professionally I am a literature Doctor, just completed my PhD. I do nail art as a hobby which distresses me completely. I cannot live without my polishes and art.

 This design is only and only for Manisha on her birthday - 'May your life bloom like these flowers always and you and your loved ones be happy and blessed.'

                                     

Henna nails with Sharpie

This is my second post today. Its a simple mani I did couple of weeks back but did not share. My bad I din't click good bright pics either :(

For this design, I started with Models Own Blueberry Muffin as base and apply sechevite. Then using sharpie I made random henna pattern. I waited for a good 30 minutes and then added seche vite to seal the design.

Pani Puri with Imli ki chutney

Hello friends! I am going to share recipe of one of my favorite snack - Pani puri and sweet imli chutney. Lemme start with Imli chutney. 

Ingredients for Imli chutney:

1. Imli(Tamarind) - 1/4 cup

2. Gud cubes - 11/4 cup 

3. Salt to taste

4. Water

Method:

Take Tamarind, Gud and add little water just enough to submerge the gud cubes and tamarind. Boil this mixture till the gud melts. Allow it to cool. Add salt as per taste and grind the mixture. Use a coarse strainer to remove the tamarind left overs and the Imli chutney is ready.

Tea aka Chai Masala

Today's post is about another recipe -  Tea(Chai) Masala. It is one my MIL's special recipes. I love having Masala Chai and so does my family. It might sound crazy but we carry this homemade chai masala while travelling to add taste to the regular chai :)

Ingredients:

1. Bunch of Cloves and cinnamon  - 1/3 cup
2. Black Pepper seeds - 1/2 cup
3. Edible dried rose petals(Optional) - 1/2 cup
4.  Dry Ginger powder - 1/2 cup
5. Cardamom seeds - 1/3 cup

Procedure:

              Mix black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and edible dried rose petals and grind it

                                

Tie and Dye nail art

Today's post is a Tie and Dye nail art design . For this design I started with a white base and used different acrylic paints to make the tie and dye print. I wasn't very happy with the end result. I feel like this is a failed mani :( What do you guys think?

 

Aloo toast sandwich

Yes you read it right . Today's post is not related to nail art. As you all know this week I would be doing at least one post a day, I wanted to share some my favorite food items and their recipe.

 

For Aloo toast sandwich, you would need

1.Boiled and mashed potatoes
2. Chopped coriander
3. Green chillies and ginger paste
4.Lemon juice or Amchur powder
5. Garam masala
6. Salt
7. Grated cheese
8. Butter

Half moon roses nail art

Friends, I completed one year of blogging in July last week and my birthday is nearing(27 Sep) . I had plans of doing atleast on post everyday some time in Aug to mark this. I couldn't find time to do this in Aug so I would like to do it starting today :) 

Today's design is half moon and roses.It is inspired by +Newlypolished . I used Models own HyperGel Cerine Shine as the base color and Sally Hansen white on and Wet n Wild tickled pink for roses, Maybelline Color Show Mint Mojito for the leaves.

Jabong.com Review and experience

Gone are those days were we would plan for a day out/wait for weekend/look for sale to shop....after all online shopping ka zamana hai :) and all that is required to shop is internet.

Today's post is about my shopping experience with Jabong.com. Jabong is one of the leading online shopping sites. They have wide variety of options with products ranging from clothing to footwear to watches to makeup and many more items :) 

31 Day Challenge - Rainbow watercolor nails



 

Hello All, Today's nail art is simple Water color Rainbow nails. For this design, I started with a white base and added diluted blobs of acrylic paints. After a while, absorbed excess water from the blobs using q tip. Once everything was dry, added Seche Vite to complete the design.

 

31 Day challenge - Flowers

Hello friends! Today's theme is Flowers. I did this design a few weeks back. It is inspired by +Newlypolished roses design on ig. I wasn't too happy the way roses turned out. All in all I can say its an average freehand design. I used Model's Own Lilac Dream, Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac and Models own Hypergel Turquoise, Sally Hansen White on and few rhinestones for this design

31 Day Challenge/Stylethosenails Challenge - Gradient nails

Hello friends! There are so many challenges going around this September. There is the 31 Day Challenge and Stylethosenails Challenge that I am participating this month. Although 31 days challenge comes with an every day theme, I have decided to participate in a few.

Today's theme in 31 Day Challenge is Gradient and at Stylethosenails Challenge is Nail art using two techniques. I combined these two themes to come up with this design. 

31 Day Challenge - Metallic Nails

One of the themes for 31 Day Challenge is Metallic Nails. For this design, I used Colorbar Metallics Starry Night as base and OPI Honey Ryder for accents. Then using Maybelline Colorshow BoldGold, I stamped BM319 image over the black base. Added a layer of Seche Vite to complete the design.

Filigree pattern nails

Hello All, today I have a mani I did few weeks back but couldn't post it. Its a simple filigree pattern. I used Maybelline Colorshow Hooked on Pink for the base and used white acrylic paint to make the filigree pattern. I am in love with Hooked on Pink, best part is it stamps too :)

#OMD2NAILS - Roses

Hello All, the next theme in OMD2NAILS challenge was Roses. I did this simple design. Its inspired by @lifeisbetterpolished. For this design I painted my thumb, middle and ring finger nails with blue polish and free handed roses with light and dark pink polishes. On my accent nails I added Maybelline Glitter Mania Bling on the Blue.

#OMD2NAILS - Feather Nails

Hello All! This time the theme is Feathers. I kept it simple for this theme. I painted my thumb,middle and ring nails with Models Own Pink Veneer and pointer and pink with Maybelline GlitterMania Dazzling Diva. Then I used feathers image from GALS Fairy Set and stamped it over pink base with Barry M Silver Foil.

#OMD2NAILS - Galaxy nails

Hello All! The next theme for OMD2NAILS was Galaxy. I came up with this design. I used a lot of polishes for this design - Wet n Wild Caribbean Forest, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, Wet n Wild Megalast I Need Refresh Mint and Sally Hansen White On.

 

 

#OMD2NAILS - Pattern Nails

This is my second post for today. I was suppose to publish these posts during the OMD2NAILS challenge but just couldn't do it. The theme is Pattern.

 

For this design, I painted all my nails with pastel yellow. Then stamped thumb, middle and ring finger with pattern from Cheeky Jumbo Princess Charming plate. On pointer and pink I added black dots. Then a layer to Seche Vite to complete the look.

 

 

#OMD2NAILS - Neon Rainbow Nail art

Hello All! How have you all been? I am doing good; just a lil busy with too many things happening in life.

Its been an year since I started blogging...yayyyy!!! I am glad my blog is doing well and I have made such wonderful blogger friends.  I have made some changes to my blog's home page. Its been long time since I have done a post. I have been a little active on Instagram though. Those who are following me on Instagram must have seen my manis.

Coming to today's post. This is the design I had done for OMD2NAILS - Rainbow theme. For this design, I made a gradient using Kleancolor Neons polishes on middle and ring nails and stamped them with clouds and rainbow pattern from Cheeky Princess Charming plate. Rest of the nails I painted black and added neon studs from Born Pretty Store.
