Galaxy Nails

Hi Lovelies! How have you been? I recently did a Galaxy Nail art collab with my nail art friends. This is the third time I have done Galaxy nail art. It is fun to do Galaxy nails and I think it is the most easiest abstract design anyone can do.

Geometric nails and Angel Nail Studio Vinyls review

Hi Friends! How have you all been? I am doing good and excited to do this post. Today I am going to review Nail Vinyls from Angel nail studio. These vinyls are made by Indian nail artist and my buddy Veeral Hanj. Check out her ig profile here. This post is special to me as this is the first time an Indian nail artist has come up with her own vinyls. I was so keen on buying vinyls for so long now but never found anything in Indian market. Now I no longer need to have someone get it for me from abroad.

Veeral has come up with a variety of vinyls and is working on her website which will have specifics of these items. From her numerous designs I chose Medium Chevrons, Medium Straights and Mermaid Scale pattern. Each vinyl sheet costs Rs200, all these sheets were purchased by me. Veeral did send me few samples prior to her vinyl set release.

Chevron nails inspired by my Tshirt

Hello All! These days I seem to be inspired by a lot of patterns on clothes/fabrics. Today I have Chevron nails inspired by my Tshirt.

For this design, I made decals using Moyou Fashionista Collection - 05 plate and painted my pointer and pinky nails with my current favorite polish - Revlon Shiny Matte Pinestripe. You can check my tutorial on how to make stamping decal here.

Hi Friends! Today I am sharing a simple design inspired by wallpaper. I did this couple of months back.

I started with Health and Glow Summery Sultry as base. It's a beautiful shimmery metallic light blue color. For stamping I used Born Pretty Store BP-L003 plate and Kleancolor metallic Orange. Then added layer of SV to complete the look.

Floral Fan brush nail art for Nail that technique challenge

Hi fellas! Today I have Floral Fan brush nail art for you guys. Fan brush technique was the theme for this week's challenge. I have never done nail art using fan brush before. This is my first attempt and I really liked the end result.

I started by painting all my nails with Maybelline Colorshow Blueberry ice. Then I dipped the fan brush in blobs of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Blue Me Away and Sinful colors White on White and drew random lines on all nails. Using Konad Special black polish and Pueen encore plate I stamped the floral patterns. To complete the look I added glitters and sealed the design with Seche Vite top coat.

Distressed Jeans nail art

Hi Friends! This week's theme for 'Nailthattechnique challenge' is Dry brush and I did distressed Jeans nail art inspired by Chelsea queen's nail. Check out her post here

For this design, I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri Brisk Blue as base and using dry brush technique I added strokes with Sinful colors Black on Black, Wet and Wild French Creme and Brisk Blue. Then using a thin brush, I painted small dashed lines using white polish. I did not have studs handy so I left the look this way and added a layer of top coat.

Garden nail art using stamping decal technique

Hello friends! This week has been real busy, too many things to catch up at work and home. As you all know I have been actively participating in 'Nailthattechnique' challenge and this week's theme is stamping decal. I was looking forward for this week's challenge as I have always struggled placing the stamping decal; some of my previous attempts of making decals are here and here.

This is my attempt for the challenge. I used my long pending unused Moyou London Mother Collection 01 plate for the decals. I am really happy with my attempt this time although I found placing the decal and clean up process a bit challenging. The dents and bumps are clearly visible.
Despite this, I feel confident and I am sure if I try this technique a few times the final result would be nice and smooth.

Syrup Gradient nails with stamping

Hello Friends! One of the themes for Nail that technique challenge was Syrup gradient. I tried this technique on practice wheels and failed miserably. I was not confident about this technique and kept looking for tutorials. Dimpal from Crazypolishes made a video tutorial - http://youtu.be/Ptb9USSCyb0 on how to do syrup gradients.

For this design, I started with white base and used Colorbar Neon Pina Colada and DIY Blue sheer tint for the gradient. I used the first technique from the video that is used brush from tip towards the middle of nail.

Republic Day nail art

Hello Friends! This is the nail art I wore for Indian Republic Day. It was on 26th Jan. If you are following me on Instagram you must have seen it already. I couldn't post this earlier coz I was down with flu :(

Anyhow coming to the design, I tried to keep it simple and used swirls pattern from my Pueen Love elements set - Pueen 37. For stamping I used Sally Girl Crazy, Prestige Hope and Prestige Matte Blue polishes. Added layer of Seche Vite to complete the look.

Floral nails inspired by mug

Hello All! Today's post is again another one which I did few weeks back but couldn't post. Gosh I have so many posts to do. I am already running behind the schedule. Does this happen with you all too? I seriously need to get into habit of being regular in doing posts. I guess Instagram has made me all the more lazy :)

This floral mani is inspired by mug image I saw on Google. I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue as the base and did rest of the design using acrylic paints. I have seen that whenever I use acrylic paints towards tips and cuticles it chips off very soon. Any tips on how to fix this?

Peacock nail art

Today I have Peacock nail art, this design is inspired by Peacock Feathers nail art by amazing nail artist Setu. Check the original post here.

For this design I used two blues from Glam Polish collection, unfortunately they don't have any name and Kleancolor Metallic Purple to form gradient over half moon on all nails except the accent. Then I stamped them with peacock feathers pattern from Moyou London Tropical Collection 06 using Maybelline Colorshow Bold Gold. For the accent nail, I made a decal of the Peacock and placed it. Completed the look with layer of Seche Vite top coat. I so very loved this design.

Snowman nail art

Today's nail art is a free handed snow man design. I wanted to keep it simple and started with a blue base, used acrylic paints for snow, snowflakes and snowman. I finished the look with SV.  I was not really satisfied with the Snowman's nose but I did not have orange color handy to make it look better.
