Elle 18 has been in news these days be it
for their super affordable make up collection or the new brand ambassador Anushka
Sharma.
The other day I went to a store to pick up Maybelline
Baby Lips balm when my eyes hit the Elle 18 collection. I remember using Elle 18 products during my
college days J ..old memories. I quickly scanned through their shade card. I
really liked their nail colors but unfortunately most of the colors were out of
stock. Then looked at the eye sparklers, I was in search of blue and gray eye liners and hurriedly picked –
Gun Metal and Blue Blast. Elle 18 cosmetics are selling like hot cakes.
Here is the review -
Packing:
Elle 18 Eye Sparklers come in really cool mini
jumbo sized pencils with the animated lady label J
Must say they look very stylish.
Quantity: 1.5 gms
Life: 24 months from date of packing
Cost: Rs. 85
These eye pencils have creamy texture and glide smoothly. Sparklers give decent pigmentation. They are not waterproof or smudge proof. You can see the test results here. They come off easily even with a dry tissue. Sparklers stay pretty long unless you accidently prick or rub your eyes.
Coming to the colors there are quite a few colors out there – I fell for Blue and Gray. The blue one is called Blue Blast. It is nice bright blue color and has very good pigmentation. Gun Metal is shimmery dark ash/gray color. It almost looks black. Gun Metal was lil disappointing for me. On application, it didn’t seem that dark or pigmented.
Check out how these look. I used them as eyeliner and teamed it up with kajal and mascara. I loved the look. I would say for beginners, college goers these are good to start with; especially when they are priced @ Rs 85.
The first two pics are of Gun Metal and last two of Blue Blast. Ignore the eyebrows; I don't need to say why :)
