Today's post is about another recipe - Tea(Chai) Masala. It is one my MIL's special recipes. I love having Masala Chai and so does my family. It might sound crazy but we carry this homemade chai masala while travelling to add taste to the regular chai :)
Ingredients:
1. Bunch of Cloves and cinnamon - 1/3 cup
2. Black Pepper seeds - 1/2 cup
3. Edible dried rose petals(Optional) - 1/2 cup
4. Dry Ginger powder - 1/2 cup
5. Cardamom seeds - 1/3 cup
Procedure:
Mix black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and edible dried rose petals and grind it
Empty the grinded mixture into a sieve and discard the coarse left over
Grind cardamom seeds and keep it aside. Cardamom powder would be coarse
Now combine the cardamom powder, dry ginger powder with the first mixture(black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and rose petals) and grid it again so that everything gets mixed properly.
That is it, Chai masala is ready :)
